10 Signs Your Website Needs a Redesign
By Ragu Karthigesan · 21 July 2026
Websites age faster than shopfronts. Here are the ten signs we see most often when a Sydney business calls us about a rebuild — if three or more sound familiar, the site is probably costing you work.
The ten signs
1. It takes more than three seconds to load on a phone. Most visitors are gone by then.
2. You have to pinch and zoom on mobile. Over 70% of local searches happen on a phone.
3. Your phone number isn't tappable in the header.
4. It doesn't appear on Google for '[your service] + [your suburb]'.
5. The last update was more than a year ago — Google notices, and so do customers.
6. It still says © 2022 in the footer.
7. You can't edit it yourself and every change costs money and a week's wait.
8. There's no SSL padlock — browsers now actively warn visitors away.
9. Enquiries go to an inbox you check weekly instead of your phone instantly.
10. It embarrasses you when you hand out your card.
Redesign or rebuild?
If the site is on a modern, fast foundation, a redesign can refresh it. If it's on an ageing page builder held together with plugins, a clean rebuild is usually cheaper than renovating — and you end up with something you own outright.
We rebuild most business sites within one to two weeks, content and SEO included. Send your current site address on WhatsApp and we'll tell you honestly which path makes sense.
